[ Perhaps it's a bit old-fashioned, but the message arrives for Kang via mockingbird. Sealed closed by a wax mockingbird sigil, the letter is hand-written in careful cursive. ]

Dear, Governor -

It's been quite some time since we have spoken, but I am glad to see you back within the porter cities. I write to you on behalf of a project I am working on within my city. Construction has already begun on rebuilding a much larger library, but I wish for this to be more than simply a bigger structure. I hope to inspire education and the spread of knowledge to the natives of Maurtia Falls as well as provide an invaluable resource to new arrivals here. But more than that, I wish to use it to pay homage to the natives who lost their lives within Maurtia Falls due to imPort related tragedies. Their names will be honored within the library itself and donations will be set up to be made to the families.

For this project to succeed, I need your help. If you are able to donate anything at all to the cause, it would be most appreciated -- whether that is books, money, or simply your time. I plan to put programs into place once the library is finished to have imPorts come in and read to the much younger generation. I believe it would be a great way to strengthen the native and imPort bond. And I do imagine you to have an excellent tolerance for children.

In the absence of having much in way of options, I've decided to go ahead with attempting to mind-meld with him in an effort to usurp the Precursor's control over him. Unfortunately, this comes with its own risks and I may be corrupted or worse as a result. I'd advise that you don't trust me implicitly after you receive this message, even if I appear or claim to be all right. If we begin to act suspiciously, I believe a telepath may have the most luck in driving out the Precursor's influence.

With a bit of luck, none of this will have been necessary and I apologize in advance for causing any undue stress. I've sent a similar message to Jacob Taylor as well.
