As you're aware, Newton is still possessed. In the absence of having much in way of options, I've decided to go ahead with attempting to mind-meld with him in an effort to usurp the Precursor's control over him. Unfortunately, this comes with its own risks and I may be corrupted or worse as a result. I'd advise that you don't trust me implicitly after you receive this message, even if I appear or claim to be all right. If we begin to act suspiciously, I believe a telepath may have the most luck in driving out the Precursor's influence.
With a bit of luck, none of this will have been necessary and I apologize in advance for causing any undue stress. I've sent a similar message to Jacob Taylor as well.
